Stockholm Cykel will guide you on a 15 kilometer bike tour through beautiful and exciting areas of Stockholm outside the common tourist routes. You will bike the narrow streets and beaches of Söder and other parts of Stockholm. From the bike seat we will discover the town in an easy pace. You will bike in a small group together with a local guide and we will do many stops when reaching interesting spots.
The tour runs on demand (April to September). Booking is necessary.
Our bikes are modern 7-speed citybikes. If you prefer, you may use your own bike to a reduced price.

On this self-guided day tour, you will bike through beautiful and interesting areas of Stockholm including Kungliga Nationalstadsparken (The Royal National City Park). This is an easy tour on bike lanes or low traffic streets with very few uphill sections.
The tour starts in the southern part of Stockholm, Södermalm, continues via panoramic views of Lake Mälaren and then leads you into Nationalstadsparken, designed 1995 as the worlds first National City Park. You will bike through Hagaparken with its unique historic landscape and buildings and also bike through the parkland of Djurgården.
Maybe you will do a stop at Skansen, the Vasa Museum or any of the art museums along your tour. And finally, Djurgårdsfärjan will bring you back to Södermalm.

Self-guided, 1 day, 31 km, easy cycling on bike-routes or light traffic roads. Mostly flat areas with only a few short climbs.

On this self-guided day tour, you will bike through woodlands and on the shores of small lakes and the Baltic Sea. This is mostly an easy tour on bike lanes or low traffic streets with very few uphill sections but through the nature reserve the tour is a little more demanding on gravel paths and some uphill sections.
On this tour you will pass the world heritage Skogskyrkogården (the Woodland Cemetery), created by the architects Asplund and Lewerentz between 1917 and 1940. The tour continues through the Nacka nature reserve and to the Baltic sea inlet of Stockholm.
You will see industrial areas such as shipyards and mills of Stockholm, currently transforming into modern contemporary housing with excellent sea view.
You will also pass several nice open-air baths and beaches so do not forget your swim suite!
Self-guided, 1 day, 30 km, easy cycling on bike-routes or light traffic roads. Mostly flat areas with only a few short climbs.

On this self-guided day tour, you will bike through the changing landscape of the shores of Lake Mälaren. This is an easy tour on bike lanes or low traffic streets containing very few uphill sections.
You will meet a diversity of Swedish architecture, all from historical buildings to modern suburban areas. You may also observe some ancient monuments such as milestones.
On the tour you will pass Drottningholm Castle, the home of the royal family of Sweden. In Vinterviken you may take a coffee break in the old factory of the industrialist Alfred Nobel, the founder of the Nobel Prize. Tantolunden with its picturesqe allotment gardens is also a nice place for a break.
You will pass some nice outdoor baths so do not forget your swim suite!
Self-guided, 1 day, 41 km, easy cycling on bike-routes or light traffic roads. Mostly flat areas with only a few short climbs.

Please note that we do not take any resposibility of changes in the track - you may use them as inspiration but you must yourself check if they are ok.
The start and endpoints of the tours are sometimes reached with trains, boats and bus. Please see the section of operators accepting bicycles.
Long distance train connections are unforunately a big problem in Sweden - only a very few train operators allow bikes on trains. Please check carefully if you are planning a bike tour including train connections.
For tickets and time tables, please see websites of each company. On commuter trains and commuter boats there are some rules for carry-on luggage.

A guided tour or a self-guided tour can be booked through the website of Stockholm Cykel. After receiving your booking request, Stockholm Cykel will reply with the cost and availability.
You are welcome to pay with credit card, cash (only SEK) or Swish. If you pay with cash for a self-guided tour/rental you must present a valid identification document (e.g. your passport) to grant access to the bike.
The bike for a self-guided tour/rental may be leased per day. A leasing day counts as 24 hours meaning that if the bike is picked up at 8AM the leasing day ends at 8AM the next day.
Stockholm Cykel confirms that the bike is prepared for lease and supplied to you in proper operating status, and is ready to ride.
If the bike breaks during the tour, you must leave the bike locked and inform Stockholm Cykel of the location and details of the problem. Stockholm Cykel will not replace or repair the bike but will advice on how you can get back to the starting point of your tour (e.g. busses/subway).
The party to this agreement is Stockholm Cykel. To hire a bike you must be at least 18 years of age and accept the following terms and conditions:
